XROS series pods (COREX 2.0 and 3.0) are cross-compatible across XROS 4 and XROS 5 kits. Luxe X pods are specific to the Luxe X series.

COREX 3.0: what it means for the XROS 5 series

COREX 3.0 is Vaporesso's third-generation mesh coil platform, fitted to the XROS 5, XROS 5 Mini and XROS 5 Nano. Compared to COREX 2.0 (XROS 4 series), the 3.0 coil uses a more consistent mesh density and improved cotton saturation to produce richer flavour and a longer coil lifespan. Vaporesso quotes approximately 40% better flavour intensity versus first-generation XROS mesh coils. COREX 3.0 pods (0.4Ω, 0.8Ω and a 0.6/0.8Ω dual-resistance option) are included with all XROS 5 kits.

Importantly, the XROS 5 kits are backward-compatible with the older COREX 2.0 pods from the XROS 4 series. If you have a stack of XROS 4 pods, they will work in an XROS 5 kit. The reverse is also true: COREX 3.0 pods work in the XROS 4 family. This cross-series compatibility is useful if you are upgrading from an XROS 4 to an XROS 5 without wanting to discard your existing pod supply.

The XROS Pro 2 (£19.99) uses the COREX 3.0 Hive Mesh pod format — a variation of the 3.0 platform with a honeycomb-pattern mesh coil. It has a larger 2,000mAh battery than the standard XROS 5 (1,500mAh) and is the longest-lasting XROS series device in the VapeCity range. The XROS Pro 2 suits heavier vapers who drain the standard XROS 5 before the end of the day.

The Vibe SE 2 and Luxe X3: entry and mid-range options

The Vaporesso Vibe SE 2 at £6.99 is the lowest-priced refillable pod kit in the Vaporesso range at VapeCity. A 1,400mAh battery, draw-activated, with a dual-mode Vibe V2 Smart dual-mesh pod that runs at 14W in ECO mode (tight MTL, 20mg nic salt) or 24W in Power mode (RDL, 10mg nic salt or freebase). The two-wattage-in-one-pod design means you get two distinct vaping experiences from a single pod type. Nine colour options in glossy and leather-texture finishes.

The Luxe X3 (£21.99) is the mid-range option for vapers who want more than a compact pod kit can offer. The 2,600mAh battery is the largest built-in capacity in the Vaporesso refillable range at VapeCity — larger than the XROS Pro 2 at 2,000mAh. It runs at up to 45W, uses COREX dual-mesh pods (and is also compatible with GTX coils via an adapter), and has a pocket-shaped form factor with a front-facing digital display. The Luxe X2 (£18.99) is the previous generation with a 1,000mAh battery; the X3's 2,600mAh battery is the main reason to choose the X3 over the X2.
