Search "XROS 3" and the two kits blur together, partly because they launched side by side and partly because retailers copy each other. They are different devices. Here is what separates them, measured rather than guessed.

The full-size XROS 3 stands 115mm tall, carries a fire button you can use alongside the auto-draw, has a three-position airflow switch, and comes with two pods (0.6ohm and 1.0ohm). The XROS 3 Mini is 99.2mm, draw-only, has no airflow control at all, and comes with one 0.6ohm pod. Battery is the same 1000mAh in both. Width is identical at 23.6mm, so the Mini is essentially its bigger sibling with the top inch lopped off and the controls removed.

Does the missing slider matter? Less than you would think. Most people who own an XROS 3 park the airflow in one spot within a week. If you are one of the few who genuinely switches between a tight and a loose pull depending on the juice, the full-size model (or the newer XROS 4 Mini, which finally gave the Mini line a slider) is the better call. If you just want something that works the same way every time you pick it up, the Mini is the tidier buy.

On the included 0.6ohm pod, warm and fairly generous. The fixed airflow sits a touch looser than a classic mouth-to-lung pull, which some reviewers flagged as slightly too open for strict MTL. We would describe it differently: it is a restricted lung hit that also forgives a mouth draw, a comfortable middle ground for anyone who found disposable bars a little tight.

Flavour on that pod is the strong suit. The mesh heats evenly, so fruit profiles come through clean instead of muddy, and a 20mg salt goes down smoothly without the scratchy edge you get from a cheap coil pushed too hard. Vapour is decent for the size; think a tidy plume rather than a fog machine.

Want it tighter? Swap to a 1.0ohm or 1.2ohm XROS pod. Higher resistance draws less power on this auto-adjusting chip, runs cooler, and makes the pull feel noticeably more cigarette-like even though the airflow holes themselves have not changed. Vaporesso quotes up to 48 hours from the 1000mAh cell. That figure assumes a light, grazing user; a one-a-day disposable habit will see closer to a day and a half, and a heavy all-day vaper should plan on a nightly charge. Independent testers ran it beyond eight hours of sustained vaping without the output sagging, which is the bit that matters, because a pod kit that goes weak at 30% is worse than one that simply dies.

Charging is USB-C at 1A. On a standard plug it refills in about an hour (one reviewer timed 55 minutes), and a small light strip at the base changes colour to show roughly where the battery sits. There is no screen and no percentage readout. You get green, blue or red, and after a week you stop looking at it.

One small quirk: the light can linger on one colour for most of the charge before jumping, so it is not a precise gauge. Trust the clock more than the colour.
