These are the refillable pods that keep a Vaporesso XROS 5 running. Unlike a prefilled pod, they turn up empty: you fill them with whatever e-liquid you like, vape them for a week or two, then swap in a fresh one when the flavour starts to fade. The Corex 3.0 coil inside is what gives the XROS its clean, consistent flavour.

The clever part is the choice of resistance. They come in five, from 0.4ohm to 1.2ohm, and which you pick decides how the kit draws and how much vapour it makes. They fit the wider XROS range, and they are part of our Vaporesso pods line-up.
The number on the pod is its coil resistance in ohms, and it sets the character of the vape. As a rule, a lower number runs warmer and looser with more vapour, a higher number runs cooler and tighter with less. Here is the quick guide:
The 1.2ohm and 1.0ohm are the tight, cool, cigarette-like mouth-to-lung pods, best with a 20mg salt and kindest on the battery. The 0.8ohm is the all-rounder, a smooth MTL that most people land on. The 0.6ohm runs a touch warmer and looser, and the 0.4ohm is the loosest, nearest a restricted lung draw, and likes more power. If in doubt, start with the 0.8ohm.
A good way to think about it is to picture how you want to vape rather than the number itself. If you want something that feels like a cigarette, draws tight and lasts all day on a charge, stay at 0.8ohm or above. If you want bigger, warmer clouds and you do not mind charging more often, drop towards 0.4ohm and turn the power up to suit. Because the box gives you more than one resistance to try, the cheapest way to find your sweet spot is simply to run a couple and keep the one that suits, rather than guessing up front.

Corex is Vaporesso's mesh coil platform, and 3.0 is the latest version. The headline change is flavour and longevity: Corex 3.0 reworks the mesh and the wicking so the coil reproduces the e-liquid more faithfully and resists the gradual dulling and scorching that ends a pod's life. In day-to-day terms that means a pod that tastes truer to the bottle and keeps doing so for longer before it needs swapping.
The good news for existing XROS owners is that the two generations are cross-compatible: a Corex 3.0 pod drops into an XROS that came with 2.0 pods, and vice versa, so you are not locked to one. If your kit is an XROS 4, XROS Pro or XROS 5, the 0.4ohm option is also on the table for a looser, warmer draw, where the older Mini and Nano bodies are happiest on the higher resistances. Whichever you run, sticking with genuine Corex pods is what keeps the flavour and the leak-proofing as designed.
A fresh pod needs filling and a minute to soak before its first use, or you risk a dry, burnt first puff.
A 50/50 nic salt is the natural match, smooth on the throat and thin enough to wick well in a small pod. Any of our salts suit: Hayati Pro Max, MaryLiq, ELFLIQ or IVG Intense. For a firmer throat hit at a lower strength, a freebase 10ml like IVG 50/50 works in the higher-resistance pods.
Steer clear of thick, high-VG sub-ohm juice. It is too gloopy for a 2ml pod and will struggle to wick, leaving you with dry hits. Stick to 50/50 and these pods last and taste their best.
With a 50/50 salt and sensible power, a Corex 3.0 pod usually gives a week or two of steady vaping before the flavour dulls or it starts to taste a little burnt. That is your cue to swap it. Corex 3.0 is built to last longer than older XROS pods, so you are not changing them constantly.
A box keeps you stocked for months. To get the most from each one, prime it properly when new, do not run the tank bone dry, and keep the power sensible for the resistance. Run them on the XROS 5 or any XROS kit.

The good
The catch
One thing worth understanding is how the pod you choose changes the nicotine you take in. A tighter, higher-resistance pod like the 1.0 or 1.2ohm makes less vapour, so a 20mg salt feels comfortable and a bottle lasts well. The looser, lower-resistance 0.6 and 0.4ohm pods push far more vapour, and because nicotine rides in that vapour you effectively take in more per puff. Run a 20mg salt through a 0.4ohm pod and it can feel harsh and burn through liquid quickly.
The fix is simple: as you drop the resistance, drop the strength. Most people are happy on 20mg with the 0.8ohm and above, step down to 10mg if they favour the 0.6ohm, and use a low-strength salt or a 3 to 6mg freebase on the 0.4ohm. Matching the two is the single biggest thing that keeps the vape smooth rather than harsh, and it stops you getting through pods and juice faster than you need to.
This is where a refillable XROS earns its keep. At £32.99 for 20 pods, about £1.65 each, and with each pod lasting a week or two of refills, the running cost is a fraction of a disposable habit. Add a 10ml bottle of salt at a pound or two, which refills a 2ml pod several times over, and a single pod plus a bottle can cover a couple of weeks for less than the price of one single-use bar.
Buying a box of 20 also means you always have a spare to hand, so a tired pod never leaves you reaching for a disposable. Keep one pod in use and the rest in the drawer, prime each new one properly, and the only thing you ever throw away is the small spent pod rather than a whole battery.
