The Vaporesso XROS Pro is the most powerful pod in the hugely popular XROS line. Where the standard XROS models keep things simple, the Pro adds real muscle and control: adjustable power right up to 30W, the first 0.4ohm pod in the XROS range, and Vaporesso's AXON Super Pulse mode borrowed from its tank mods. That combination lets it push a warmer, fuller vape than any other XROS while keeping the same slim, pocketable shape and the same easy top-fill pods.

It still does the everyday things beautifully. A 1200mAh battery with fast USB-C charging keeps it going, COREX heating tech and mesh pods deliver a clean, consistent flavour, and an adjustable airflow ring lets you set a tight mouth-to-lung draw or a looser restricted lung one. Crucially it takes the entire XROS pod range, so it slots straight into the ecosystem. It sits in our refillable pod kits as the flagship XROS, a clear step up from the standard XROS 5.
The Pro's headline is power. It is the first XROS that lets you adjust the wattage right up to 30W, and the first to run a 0.4ohm pod, which together open up a warmer, more flavourful and slightly cloudier vape than the rest of the line can manage. You set the power to suit the pod and your taste, so the same device can run a cool, efficient MTL setting or a bolder, punchier one.
Behind that is AXON Super Pulse mode, a feature that used to be exclusive to Vaporesso's bigger tank mods and debuts here in a pod. It keeps the power output consistent as the battery drains, so the flavour stays strong from a full charge down to the low battery levels where lesser pods start to fade. Paired with COREX heating technology in the coil, it means a clean, steady hit throughout the day rather than a vape that tails off.

The XROS Pro takes Vaporesso's refillable XROS pods, and it is compatible with the full XROS pod range, so if you already own an XROS the pods carry straight over. Each pod holds 2ml and fills from the top: lift the stopper, drip your juice in and close it, with no prising the pod out or changing a coil. The kit comes with a 0.6ohm and a 0.8ohm mesh pod, covering a looser and a tighter draw, and the range extends down to the new 0.4ohm pod for the Pro's extra power.
That spread of resistances is what makes it so flexible. A 0.8ohm pod gives a tight, cigarette-like MTL draw on nic salts, while the 0.4 and 0.6ohm pods open it up for a warmer, vapier restricted lung hit, especially with the wattage turned up. The mesh coils give a clean, even flavour and the pods are cheap and easy to restock. Fill it with any nic salt for MTL, or a higher-VG juice on the low-resistance pod for more vapour.

The 1200mAh battery is generous for a pod and sees most people through a day, helped by the Super Pulse efficiency. It charges over USB-C at 2A and reaches a full charge in around 35 minutes, so top-ups are quick. An LED shows the battery level, and the device offers both button-fire and auto-draw, so you can press to fire or simply inhale, whichever you prefer. There is a lockable power feature to stop accidental firing in a pocket.
An adjustable airflow ring fine-tunes the draw without changing the pod, from a tight mouth-to-lung pull to a looser restricted lung one. Combined with the choice of pods and the adjustable wattage, that gives the XROS Pro a genuinely wide range for such a slim device. It keeps the clean, understated XROS styling, now in ten colours, so it looks smart while doing far more than the standard models.
There is very little to it. Fill the pod, let it soak, set the airflow and power, and vape. The one habit worth keeping is giving a fresh pod a couple of minutes before the first hard pull so the coil wicks and you avoid a burnt taste, especially on the lower-resistance pods.
The kit is £18.99, and after that you only buy pods and juice. XROS pods are among the cheapest and most widely sold pods around, and the mesh coils last well, so the running cost is very low. Fill it from a 10ml nic salt for a couple of pounds and a pod-full costs pennies, far below prefilled pods or disposables. The maths against a bar-a-day habit is stark: the saving over a month runs into tens of pounds.
Against a disposable it is no contest: you buy the device once, then only pay for pods and juice, where a bar gets binned every couple of days. You bin far less too, just a small pod now and then. It is the same money-saving logic as any refillable pod kit, with the bonus of adjustable power and Super Pulse that the cheaper pods leave out.
The XROS Pro is reliable, helped by the well-proven XROS pod design. The few snags that come up trace to a pod that has not soaked, the wattage or airflow, or the lock.
Burnt or dry hit
The coil has not wicked, or the wattage is too high. After filling, leave a fresh pod two to three minutes and prime with gentle pulls, and keep the power suited to the pod resistance.
Gurgle or leaking
Do not overfill, close the top-fill stopper firmly and store it upright. A flooded coil clears with a few gentle pulls off the button.
Will not fire
Check the power is unlocked and the battery has charge on the LED. Make sure the pod is seated fully, then press the button or take a firmer draw.
Weak flavour or thin vapour
Turn the wattage up, open the airflow, or fit a lower-resistance XROS pod such as the 0.4ohm. A tired pod that will not recover needs replacing.
Within the XROS line the Pro is the powerhouse. Against the standard XROS 5 and the newer XROS Pro 2, the original Pro brings the adjustable 30W output, the 0.4ohm pod and AXON Super Pulse to the family, where the plainer models keep things simpler and lower-powered. They all share the same XROS pods, so the choice comes down to whether you want pure simplicity or the Pro's extra power and flavour. If you like to turn the wattage up, the Pro is the one.
Against a disposable it wins on every count that matters: cost, control, battery and waste. It is a touch more involved than a sealed bar, but it gives you far more in return and recharges and refills instead of going in the bin. For anyone who wants the most capable pod in the best-selling XROS range, the XROS Pro is a strong pick, and it sits alongside our wider sub-ohm vapes for those who want a looser, cloudier style.
