VOOPOO Vinci E80 Pod Kit

The Vinci E80 uses VINCI E cartridges rather than a separate pod body and coil head. Each cartridge is a self-contained unit with the coil integrated: when the coil reaches the end of its life you replace the whole cartridge rather than just swapping a coil head into an existing pod. Two cartridges are included in the box.

The topside fill design means you fill through a port on the top of the cartridge rather than the side. The approach is straightforward and less prone to flooding than some side-fill systems because gravity works in your favour during the fill.

The 1.47-inch HD TFT colour screen is the largest display in VOOPOO's current compact pod mod range. It covers most of the front face of the device and is considerably more readable than the 0.96-inch display on the Drag S3. At arm's length the figures on the screen are easy to read without squinting.

The display shows the active mode (Smart, RBA or Eco), current wattage in large numerals, the detected coil resistance, a running puff counter and the battery level as a percentage. Three animated UI themes are selectable by button combination; the default theme uses a high-contrast colour palette that reads well in daylight.

In Smart mode, the wattage shown is what the GENE AI 2.0 chip has set based on the installed cartridge. Fitting a 0.3ohm cartridge will push the display to a higher wattage automatically; the 0.6ohm cartridge gets a lower, flavour-optimised setting. Switching to RBA mode lets you manually adjust wattage in fine steps using the + and - controls.

The puff counter is a useful feature for coil management. VOOPOO rates each VINCI E cartridge at approximately 100ml of e-liquid throughput. Monitoring the puff count gives you a rough indicator of remaining cartridge life, though flavour quality is still the most reliable signal for when to change.

The Vinci E80 is compatible with two pod platforms. The first is the VINCI E pod cartridge system: integrated pod-and-coil assemblies available in 0.3ohm (32-40W, DTL) and 0.6ohm (18-25W, RDL or tight DTL) resistances. Each VINCI E cartridge has a 2ml capacity under UK TPD regulations and a golden cotton wicking element rated to 260 degrees Celsius, which is the reason VOOPOO claims extended coil life compared to standard cotton.

The second compatible platform is the PnP X series. The pack includes a PnP X Platform Compatibility Guide, and VOOPOO PnP X pods can be used in the Vinci E80 with the full PnP X coil range from 0.15 to 1.0ohm. This gives access to a much wider variety of coil resistances, from high-power 0.15ohm DTL coils at the top of the 80W range through to 1.0ohm MTL coils for nic salt users who prefer a tighter, lower-wattage draw.

The practical implication is that the Vinci E80 is a versatile platform: buy VINCI E cartridges for convenience (no coil head to swap, just change the whole unit), or use PnP X empty pods with your preferred coil heads for more control over resistance and style. Both approaches work on the same device.

VOOPOO's current compact pod mod lineup covers three main options at similar price points, each with a different emphasis.

The Vinci E80 is the newest device and the one with the biggest screen and highest wattage ceiling from a built-in battery. If you want 80W without carrying spare external cells, and you want the widest display in the compact range, the Vinci E80 is the natural choice. The GENE AI 2.0 chip is also VOOPOO's most current processor. The trade-off is the VINCI E cartridge system, where you replace the whole cartridge rather than just the coil head.

The Drag S3 uses the GENE.TT chip, the same coil platform (PnP X) for both the pod and the replacement heads, has a smaller 0.96-inch screen, and is capped at 60W. It has the capacitive auto-lock which is more pocket-friendly than a manual switch. Both devices cost £28.99.

The Drag X3 uses an external 18650 or 21700 battery (not included), runs to 80W with a 1.66-inch touchscreen, and allows you to swap cells when the battery is depleted. It is the choice for vapers who need truly unlimited runtime via spare cells or who want a touch-activated screen.
