VooPoo PnP-X pods: side-fill XL pod bodies for the updated PnP X platform
The VooPoo PnP-X Replacement Pod is the pod body for VooPoo's PnP X coil platform. Each pack contains one pod in XL capacity. These are pod bodies only: PnP X coils must be purchased separately. The DTL XL variant is currently in stock at £31.88. The MTL XL variant is temporarily out of stock.
The PnP-X pod uses a side-fill design, which is different from the bottom-fill standard PnP pods. Side fill means the e-liquid fill port is located on the side of the pod body, accessible while the pod remains in the device. The pod body is constructed from food-grade PCTG, the same material used across quality pod systems for its chemical resistance and clarity. Match your coil to your e-liquid: a nic salt for MTL, a higher-VG juice for the sub-ohm DTL coils.

PnP X versus standard PnP: the updated coil platform
VooPoo's original PnP (Plug-n-Play) platform established a cross-device coil standard used across a wide range of their pod kits. The PnP X is an updated iteration of this platform. The X designation indicates a revised coil geometry and connection design that differs from the original PnP coils. PnP X coils are not interchangeable with standard PnP coils, and PnP-X pod bodies are not compatible with standard PnP coils.
The PnP X coil range covers both sub-ohm DTL resistances and higher MTL resistances, as the platform supports both draw styles within the same pod body format. The specific coil you install into the PnP-X pod body determines whether you are vaping in a DTL or MTL configuration. The pod body itself does not lock you into one style: swapping the installed coil changes the vaping character.
If you own a VooPoo device that specifies PnP X coils, these pod bodies are the correct housing. If your device uses the original PnP coil format, you need the standard PnP pod bodies. Confirm your device's coil specification before ordering, as the two platforms are distinct and the coils are not cross-compatible.
Side-fill design on the PnP-X pod: how it differs from bottom fill
The standard VooPoo PnP pods use a bottom-fill port. To refill, you remove the pod from the device, invert it, open the port at the base, fill, and re-insert. This requires briefly removing the pod and handling it upside down during filling.
The PnP-X pod uses side fill instead. The fill port is located on the body of the pod rather than the base. To refill, tilt the device slightly to expose the side fill port, open the port, add e-liquid, close the port, and continue. The pod stays in the device throughout. This removes the inversion step and makes refilling possible with the device still in your hand in a natural orientation.
Side fill is particularly useful for vapers who refill frequently or in settings where setting the device down and handling it two-handed is inconvenient. The PnP-X pod's side-fill port, combined with the XL reservoir, means you fill less often and the filling process is faster each time you do. The PCTG construction keeps the fill port seal durable over the repeated open-and-close cycles that daily side-fill use involves.
Fitting a coil, priming and looking after the PnP-X pod
Because the coil and pod body are separate, the one job that matters is seating a fresh PnP X coil and priming it before the first vape. A dry sub-ohm coil fired straight away scorches the mesh instantly.
- 1Press your chosen PnP X coil into the base of the pod body until it clicks home.
- 2Drip a little e-liquid onto the exposed mesh, open the side port, fill, and close it.
- 3Let the filled pod stand five to ten minutes so the mesh saturates fully before you draw.
- 4Fit the pod into your PnP X device, start the wattage low, and climb into the coil's range.
- 5Top up through the side port before the pod runs low, and replace only the coil when flavour fades.
Burnt taste on a fresh coil
It was not primed long enough. Drip onto the mesh, refill, and rest it before starting low.
Burnt taste after a week or two
The coil has worn out, sooner on sweet juice. Press in a fresh PnP X coil and keep the body.
Flooding or gurgling
Do not overfill, seat the coil firmly, and close the side-fill port properly.
Leaking from the base
Check the coil is fully seated and the pod body is not cracked or worn; replace the body if it is.
