Voopoo Argus P3 Pod Kit

The P3 uses VOOPOO's ARGUS Snap Cartridge system. Two cartridges come in the box: a 0.4ohm for a slightly warmer, airier restricted direct lung draw and a 0.7ohm for a classic mouth-to-lung. Both hold 2ml and use clamshell top-filling, meaning you fold back the top and pour your e-liquid in without removing the pod from the device. Clean and quick once you have done it once.

The airflow is adjusted by a slider on the side of the device rather than rotating the pod. Slide it open for a bigger draw, close it down for a tighter one. Stepless means it moves in a continuous range with no preset clicks, so you dial it in exactly how you want it. The P3 supports the full ARGUS Pod Family of cartridges too, so if you find you prefer a different resistance or a longer XL capacity, those are available alongside the Argus Top Fill V2 Pods.

For e-liquid, a 50/50 nic salt works best with the 0.7ohm at 10 to 20mg. The 0.4ohm is happy with salts too but you will get more vapour, so a lower strength at 10mg or a freebase at 3 to 6mg keeps the nicotine hit comfortable. Avoid thick high-VG sub-ohm juice.

The P3 packs four special modes that you will not find on simpler pod kits. Party Mode lights the screen up in a rhythm as you vape, a minor flourish but one that stands out in low-light situations. SOS Mode flashes the screen in the international distress signal if you hold the fire button in an emergency, a practical feature that most users will never need but will be glad is there if they do.

ECO Mode reduces the maximum output to extend battery life when you are running low. Child Lock disables the fire button and the screen controls so the device cannot be used without unlocking it. None of these are reasons to buy the P3 on their own, but they round out a feature set that punches above its £30.99 price on paper.

The P3 arrives charged enough to start, but top it up over USB-C before your first serious session. Snap the cartridge into the device by pressing it down until it clicks, then fold back the clamshell lid on top and pour your e-liquid into the fill hole. Press the lid back, wait a minute or two for the coil to wick, and then take two gentle draws without firing. That short prime prevents the dry hit that can ruin a fresh coil.

Wattage is set by tapping the touch arrows on the screen. The 0.7ohm pod sits comfortably at around 10 to 16W for mouth-to-lung; the 0.4ohm can run from 15W upwards for a denser draw. The device does not auto-set the power the way the Argus G3's GENE AI does, so start lower and work up until the hit feels right. After that, the only routine is a top-up when the screen shows the tank running low and a USB-C charge when the battery indicator drops.
