The Voopoo Argus G3 is the latest in the much-loved Argus G line, a slim refillable pod kit that takes on the Vaporesso XROS 5 and the OXVA Xlim Pro 2. It hits the same brief, a 1500mAh battery, up to 30W, a top-filling cartridge, but it has two tricks the others do not: a smart chip that tunes the power to the pod for you, and coils built to last about a month.

It is refillable, so you pick the e-liquid and recharge the device. It runs the Argus pods, fill it with a salt such as Hayati Pro Max, OX Passion or IVG Intense. It is part of our Voopoo range and refillable pod kits.
This is the Argus G3's headline feature, and a genuinely useful one. Most pod kits leave you to guess the right wattage for a pod, or fix it and hope. The Argus G3's GENE AI 2.0 chip reads the cartridge you fit and sets the power to match it automatically: more for a low-resistance 0.4ohm RDL pod, less for a tight 1.2ohm MTL one. You can still adjust it by hand from 5 to 30W if you like, but you rarely need to.
The same chip runs seven safety protections in the background, the usual short-circuit, overcharge and overheat cut-outs. The upshot is a kit that mostly just works, which makes it one of the easiest to live with if you do not want to fiddle with settings.
The other standout is coil life. Voopoo's iCOSM CODE 2.0 cartridge is rated to keep its flavour for around 30 days, where most pods start tasting tired and burnt after one or two weeks. If that holds up for you, it means fewer pod changes and a lower running cost over a month.
It is the kind of upgrade you notice in the wallet rather than the spec sheet. A cartridge that lasts twice as long as the competition's is a real saving over a year, on top of the cash you already save by refilling rather than buying disposables.

The 1500mAh battery is the same size as the XROS 5's, but Voopoo squeeze a lot from it: up to five days of mouth-to-lung use at 10 to 14W, or two to three days if you run it harder at RDL wattages. It charges over USB-C at 2A. The big draw is just not having to charge it often.
The 0.96-inch TFT colour screen is one of the largest on a slim pod, ringed in metal or diamond edging depending on the colour, with a few themes and animations if you like a bit of flash. It shows wattage, resistance and battery, and you can turn it off to save power.

The Argus G3 top-fills: you lift the mouthpiece and drip your e-liquid in, no mess. It ships with two Argus cartridges, a 0.4ohm for a warmer, airier restricted-lung draw and a 0.7ohm for a tighter mouth-to-lung one, and takes the wider range from 0.4 to 1.2ohm. The side airflow slider fine-tunes the draw from tight to open.
For a smooth MTL vape, fill it with a 50/50 nic salt: Hayati Pro Max, OX Passion, MaryLiq or IVG Intense. If you run the 0.4ohm pod for a looser RDL draw, a lower-strength salt or a freebase 10ml at 3 to 6mg is kinder, since more vapour means more nicotine. Avoid thick high-VG sub-ohm juice.
Coming from disposables, the one new habit is filling and priming the cartridge, and the Argus G3 keeps it simple. Lift the mouthpiece off the top of the cartridge, drip your e-liquid into the fill hole until it looks full, and press the mouthpiece back, no need to even pull the pod out once it is seated. With a fresh cartridge, let it stand a minute or two so the coil wicks through, then take two or three gentle draws without firing to prime it. That short soak is the main thing that prevents an early burnt taste, and it matters even on long-life coils like these.
After that the GENE AI chip does the thinking. Fit a pod and it sets the wattage to match, so there is genuinely nothing to dial in unless you want to. It is auto-draw, so you just inhale, and the screen shows wattage, resistance and battery. When you refill, top the cartridge up before it runs dry rather than after, since firing a near-empty pod is the quickest way to shorten even a 30-day coil.
The Argus G3 makes a strong cost case, helped by those long-life coils. The kit is £18.99 once, then you only buy cartridges and e-liquid. A cartridge rated for around 30 days plus a £1.50 to £2 bottle of salt covers most of a month for a few pounds, where a disposable habit runs to several pounds every day or two. Even against other refillables, the 30-day coil means you buy fewer pods over a year, so the running cost is among the lowest going.
There is the waste saving too. A disposable is a battery and a circuit board in the bin every couple of days; the Argus G3 is one rechargeable device you keep for a year or more, with only the small cartridge as a consumable, and fewer of those than most kits need. For anyone leaving single-use bars behind on cost or conscience, it is one of the easiest and cheapest devices to settle into.
All three are excellent 30W refillable pod kits, and you would be happy with any. The Argus G3's edges are the GENE AI auto-wattage, which takes the guesswork away, and the long 30-day coil life, which saves you money. The XROS 5 charges faster at 3A; the Xlim Pro 2 has the smoothest airflow dial and the biggest pod ecosystem.
If you want the kit that thinks for you and the longest-lasting coils, the Argus G3 is the pick. If you want the fastest charge, go XROS 5; for the widest pod choice, the Xlim Pro 2. They are close enough that any is a great first refillable. A good tie-breaker is how much you want to fiddle: the Argus G3 suits people who would rather the device handle the settings and forget about it, where the XROS and Xlim reward those who enjoy dialling in wattage and airflow by hand.
