Moreish Puff Tobacco Salts

Nicotine salt is nicotine bonded with an acid so it goes down smoother at higher strengths than the old freebase liquids could. That smoothness is the whole reason salts took over the pod-kit market. For a fruit flavour, 20mg salt is the common pick because the sweetness masks it. For a tobacco, 10mg is usually the better number.

Two reasons. First, tobacco flavourings have their own throat hit, a dry catch that mimics smoke, and stacking 20mg on top of it makes the whole thing harsher than it needs to be. Second, most people buying a tobacco liquid are replacing a real cigarette, and at a 50/50 ratio in a low-power pod kit, 10mg salt drawn mouth-to-lung lands nicotine at a pace very close to smoking. It satisfies a ten-to-twenty-a-day habit without the head-swim a 20mg gives in a tight device.

Moreish Puff does make the range in 20mg, and if you are a heavy smoker coming straight off thirty a day it is worth asking about. But we stock the 10mg on purpose: it is the version the vast majority of tobacco-salt buyers come back for, and the one that runs cleanest on a 0.8ohm or 1.0ohm pod.

Anything mouth-to-lung with a coil between 0.6ohm and 1.2ohm. The 50/50 ratio wicks quickly through the small ports on a pod, and 10mg salt is designed for the low wattage those devices put out. Do not run it in a sub-ohm tank at 40W; it will be harsh, wasteful and no fun at all.

The general rule for tobacco: tighter and cooler is better. A 1.0ohm or 1.2ohm pod with the airflow closed down gives a dry, warm, cigarette-style draw and makes the tobacco read as tobacco rather than as sweet vapour. Open, airy draws flatten these flavours. Coil life on the sweetened flavours (Butterscotch, Honey & Creme, Cappuccino) is a touch shorter than on Original and Vanilla, because sugar caramelises on the mesh. Expect a week or so on a pod with the sweet ones, closer to two on the plain ones.

Same five flavours, two very different products, and it is worth being clear on which one you want before ordering.

If you are here because you smoked and want to stop, it is the salts. If you have been vaping a while on a sub-ohm kit at 3mg and fancy a tobacco for a change, it is the Tobacco 100ml. Buying the shortfill for a pod kit is the single most common mistake we see with this brand; the thick 70/30 liquid will not wick and the 3mg will not satisfy.

Everything is made and bottled in the UK, TPD-notified, and sold in the standard 10ml childproof bottle with a nozzle that fits a pod fill port without a funnel. That last bit sounds trivial until you have tried to fill an XROS from a bottle with a wide neck.

Good, with the usual tobacco caveats. The Original is one of the more convincing straight tobaccos at this price, the sweetened versions keep the leaf in charge rather than drowning it, and the 10mg salt at 50/50 is exactly the right spec for the pod kits people actually own. At £2.10 a bottle in tens it is cheaper than most branded salts and a fraction of the cost of the cigarettes it replaces.

Where it will not suit you: if you never liked the taste of tobacco in the first place, none of the five will convert you, and a fruit or a mint is the honest recommendation. If you want 20mg, we do not stock it in this range. If you vape direct-to-lung at low nicotine, you want the 100ml shortfill instead. And if you are after a complex, aged, cigar-style tobacco with a dozen notes, this is a straightforward everyday range, not a boutique one.

Practical notes. A pack is ten bottles of one flavour, so try a mixed order across two or three flavours before committing to ten of anything; Butterscotch is the safest first pick if you must pick one. Keep the bottles out of sunlight and they last a year. And let a freshly filled pod sit for a few minutes before the first draw, because tobacco flavours are the ones that taste worst on a coil that has not soaked.
