U-squared is Uwell's term for a double-seal construction at the pod connection and fill port. The two-layer sealing approach is designed to address the two most common points of e-liquid leakage in pod systems: the base connection where the pod meets the device, and the fill port where e-liquid is added. By sealing both points with redundant material contact, U-squared reduces the chance of e-liquid escaping the pod body during carry, temperature changes, or when the pod is tilted.

Condensation in the airpath is a separate problem from leakage. It occurs when vapour that has passed through the coil partially cools and condenses on the internal surfaces of the airpath before reaching your mouth. Condensation accumulation causes gurgling sounds, occasional liquid drops at the mouthpiece, and flavour degradation over time. U-squared addresses condensation through optimised airpath geometry that reduces the surface area where vapour can cool before exiting the pod.

PRO-FOCS 4.0 is the fourth iteration of Uwell's Flavour Optimized Coil System. The technology focuses on the geometry and material composition of the mesh coil element to maximise the ratio of flavour compounds extracted from e-liquid per unit of heat applied. In practical terms, PRO-FOCS pods are designed to produce flavour that is closer to the e-liquid's actual taste profile rather than a muted or slightly altered version of it. The 4.0 designation indicates improvements over the previous PRO-FOCS versions in the Caliburn G and G3 product lines.

The 0.4 Ohm pod is the lowest resistance and produces the most open draw of the four options. At 0.4 Ohm, the pod fires at higher wattage and generates more vapour per draw. This is the closest option to a restricted direct-to-lung style within the Caliburn GPP range. Use 6 to 12 mg nicotine salt with the 0.4 Ohm pod.

The 0.6 Ohm pod is in between DTL and MTL territory. The draw has some restriction but more airflow than the 0.9 or 1.2 Ohm options. Vapour production is moderate and the flavour output from the PRO-FOCS coil is warm and full at this resistance. Use 10 to 16 mg nicotine salt. This is a versatile option for vapers who have already moved past the tightest MTL draws but are not looking for a fully open DTL experience.

The 0.9 Ohm pod produces a mouth-to-lung draw. It operates at lower wattage than the 0.4 or 0.6 Ohm options and produces less vapour per pull. The restriction is noticeable and suits 18 mg nicotine salt. For the 1.2 Ohm pod, the draw is the tightest in the range and the wattage is at its lowest. This is the option that most closely approximates a cigarette draw and suits 18 to 20 mg nicotine salt. Smokers switching to the Caliburn GPP are advised to start with the 1.2 Ohm pod and adjust from there.

The side-fill port and magnetic connection make this one of the easiest pods to live with, but a fresh pod still needs a moment to wick before the first vape. Skip that and the cotton scorches on the opening draw, which is the most common reason a new pod tastes burnt.
