The 2ml standard pod is the right choice for most vapers. It holds a good amount of e-liquid for everyday carry, refills quickly, and meets the UK TPD limit for closed or open pod systems sold in the UK. At 2ml per fill, most moderate vapers get through one or two fills in a day.

The XL pod is for vapers who find themselves refilling very frequently — typically heavier users or those who vape at higher wattages, where e-liquid is consumed faster. The larger capacity means less time reaching for a bottle during the day and fewer interruptions. The XL is larger in overall dimensions than the standard pod, so it sits slightly differently in the device.

Both variants use the same coil type and produce the same flavour quality. The choice is entirely about refill frequency and carry preference.

Prime new pods by filling them and waiting two minutes before firing. This saturates the mesh before heat is applied, preventing dry coil damage and the harsh burnt taste that follows a dry hit on a fresh pod.

Refill before the pod runs completely empty. Vaping on a nearly-dry pod stresses the coil and reduces flavour quality over the remaining pod life. The top-fill cap on Explorer pods is designed for quick single-handed refilling, so checking and topping up regularly adds very little friction to everyday use.

The Caliburn Explorer is a distinct kit from the A-series (A2, A3) and G-series (G5 Lite, G4 Pro). Explorer pods are specific to the Explorer kit and are not interchangeable with Uwell Caliburn A3 Pods or GPP pods used in the G5 Lite SE or G4 Pro KOKO.
