Xlim V3 and EZ pods: top-fill and UniTech 2.0

The Xlim V3 XL 3-pack (£32.99) is the standard replacement for most Xlim-range kits, including the Xlim Go 2 and Xlim Pro 3. It uses OXVA's UniTech 2.0 dual-mesh coil, which heats across two parallel mesh elements rather than a single point. Two resistance options: 0.4Ω for a looser, RDL-style draw at 20-28W, and 0.6Ω for a tighter, mixed MTL/RDL draw at 15-22W. Both suit nic salts well; high-VG shortfill works better in the 0.4Ω at the higher end of its wattage range.

The Xlim EZ pods take a slightly different approach. Four resistance options (0.4Ω, 0.6Ω, 0.8Ω, 1.2Ω) are colour-coded: red, black, orange, green in order from loosest to tightest draw. The main practical difference over the V3 is the fill port design: on EZ pods, you fill through a port under the mouthpiece without removing the pod from the device first. Less mess, faster refills if you vape on the move. EZ pods come in XL 3ml and standard 2ml versions; both are stocked at VapeCity at £30.99 for a 3-pack.

The Xlim Stainless Steel pod (£30.99) is a special case. It is designed for the Xlim Pro 2 DNA only, the temperature-control variant of the Pro 2. Using the correct pod for the DNA is important because temperature control mode reads the coil material to regulate heat; a standard mesh pod will not pair correctly with the TC chipset.

NeXlim pods: three resistances, dual mesh

NeXlim replacement pods (£30.99 for a 3-pack) come in three resistances: 0.6Ω (RDL at 20-25W), 0.8Ω (standard MTL at 12-18W), and 1.2Ω (tight MTL at 10-12W). The 1.2Ω option is the tightest draw in the OXVA refillable pod range, producing a draw close to a cigarette at 10W. The NeXlim pod uses a dual-mesh coil compatible with both Boost and Eco modes on the NeXlim kit, so the same pod delivers different performance characteristics depending on which mode you are running. Fill method is side-fill, where you press a button on the side of the pod to open the silicone port. A bit less intuitive than top-fill on first use, but just as leak-resistant in practice.

NeXlim pods are not compatible with the standard Xlim V3 or EZ pods, and cannot be substituted. The NeXlim uses a different pod chassis to accommodate the side-fill port and the Boost mode's higher wattage routing. If you see Xlim pods for sale at a lower price, they will not fit the NeXlim regardless of resistance.

VPrime pods: the DTL option in the OXVA range

The VPrime 2-pack (£22.99) is the only OXVA pod that covers full direct-to-lung vaping. The 0.2Ω pod runs at 45-60W and is designed for high-VG shortfill at 3-6mg freebase nicotine. The 0.4Ω pod covers RDL at 28-38W, which suits 50/50 blends at 10mg or shortfill at lower wattage. Both pods use a side-fill port. At 2ml capacity, a 0.2Ω DTL pod will drain its fill faster than a tight-MTL 1.2Ω NeXlim pod; budget for more frequent refills if you vape the DTL option heavily.

One practical point: the VPrime auto-draw works at all wattages, including full 60W on the 0.2Ω pod. This affects pod longevity. Running the 0.2Ω pod at 60W continuously will wear the coil faster than mid-wattage RDL use. If maximum pod lifespan matters more than cloud production, the 0.4Ω pod at 28-35W is a sensible compromise. Replacement VPrime pods are stocked in both resistances at VapeCity.
