The Elf Bar ELFA Pro is the grown-up version of the closed pod system that replaced a lot of disposables. It is a slim, light pod vape that takes a prefilled pod rather than e-liquid you pour, so there is nothing to fill and no coils to fiddle with. You click a pod in, draw on it like a bar, and when it runs dry you swap it. The Pro tag means the upgraded coil and a transparent pod, so you can see the level.

This listing is the device on its own, which is why it is only £3.99, with the prefilled pods bought separately. Inside is a 500mAh battery that charges fast over USB-C, and each pod uses a QUAQ fine-mesh coil at 20mg for a smooth mouth-to-lung draw. It sits in our Elf Bar range as the simplest way onto a refill-pod routine, a tidier step than the prefilled Elf Bar 600 kit.
It is about as simple as vaping gets. The ELFA Pro is a closed system, which means it only takes sealed prefilled pods, no bottles and no measuring. You push a pod onto the top of the device until it clicks, then just inhale: it is draw-activated, so there is no button to press or settings to learn. That makes it one of the easiest kits to move onto if you are coming straight off disposable bars.
Each pod is good for around 600 puffs, roughly the same as a single-use bar, and when it tires you pull it off and click in a fresh one. There is no mess and nothing to throw away except the little pod, which is a fraction of the waste of binning a whole disposable every couple of days.
The pods are where the Pro earns its name. Each is a 2ml prefilled pod filled with 20mg ElfLIQ salt and built around a QUAQ fine-mesh coil, the same flavour tech Elf Bar uses across its newer kits, which keeps the taste clean and even rather than fading as the pod empties. The body is transparent, so a glance tells you how much you have left.
There is a lot of choice, with the ELFA Pro pods running to dozens of flavours, and the device also takes the standard ELFA pods, so the combined range is enormous. You buy the ELFA Pro pods separately and keep a couple on hand to swap between. For a tight mouth-to-lung draw on a 20mg salt, this is exactly the setup you want.

The ELFA Pro runs a 500mAh battery, which is small but quick to fill: a flat device tops back up over USB-C in around half an hour. For a light vaper it sees out a day, and heavier users just keep the cable handy, which is the trade-off for such a slim, pocketable shape.
The bigger draw is the running cost. Buy the device once at £3.99, then you are only ever paying for pods, and a prefilled pod works out far cheaper per puff than a disposable. Elf Bar reckons the switch saves around £55 a month against a bar-a-day habit, and you bin a lot less plastic and battery in the process. It is the same logic behind every refillable pod kit, just in the simplest closed-system form.

The good
The catch
There is almost nothing to it, but the order matters for that first pod. Charge the device before you start, fit the pod properly, and give the coil a moment to wet through, and you will get a clean draw from the off rather than a harsh one. Elf Bar's own steps are below.
After that it is just swap and go. A spent pod pulls straight off and a fresh one clicks on, no tools, no spills. Keep the USB-C cable handy if you vape a fair bit, since the 500mAh battery trades stamina for the slim shape.
The ELFA Pro rarely goes wrong, and when it does it is usually the pod rather than the device. A few quick checks sort almost everything.
Burnt or harsh first puff
The coil has not soaked. Leave a fresh pod 20 to 30 seconds after fitting and take a few gentle pulls rather than one hard drag.
No vapour or it feels blocked
Check the pod is clicked fully home and the silicone plug is out. A quick reseat usually does it. Make sure the device has charge.
Weak flavour
Glance at the clear pod. If it looks low or empty it has done its 600 puffs and wants swapping. A near-flat battery can also soften the hit, so charge it.
Will not charge
Try a different USB-C cable and plug, and wipe the port. The ELFA Pro fast-charges, so a flat device should show life within a few minutes.
It is aimed squarely at anyone leaving disposables behind. The draw, the size and the grab-and-go feel are all close to a bar, so the switch barely registers, but you stop binning a battery every couple of days and your spend drops. If you have never built a coil or filled a tank and never want to, this is the kit that asks nothing of you.
It is not the one to pick if you want big clouds, your own e-liquid, or a battery that lasts a festival weekend without a charge. For those, a refillable like the Elf Bar ELFX or a sub-ohm setup makes more sense. As a simple, cheap, low-waste step off disposables, though, the ELFA Pro is one of the easiest kits to recommend, and it pairs with our nic salts range once you fancy a refillable later.
They are close, and the pods cross over, but the Pro is the one to get. Both are 500mAh draw-activated closed systems running 2ml prefilled pods, so the shape and the simplicity are the same. The ELFA Pro adds the upgraded QUAQ mesh coil and the transparent pod that lets you see the level, which makes for cleaner flavour and fewer surprises when a pod is about to run out.
Because the ELFA Pro takes both pod types, buying the Pro device gives you the widest flavour choice across the whole ELFA line. If you already own a standard ELFA you can keep using your pods; if you are starting fresh, the Pro is the sensible pick. Either way it is a long way cheaper to run than a disposable habit.
