Dual-battery regulated mods perform best when both cells in a pair are matched: same manufacturer, same model, same age, and charged to the same voltage before each session. Each of the four slots on the VC4 has its own LCD section showing the current voltage of the cell inserted in that bay. This updates in real time throughout the charge cycle. When all four bays are occupied, you can read off all four voltages at a glance and compare them.

The LCD updates immediately on cell insertion. A bar animation indicates charging; full bars with the target voltage shown means the charge cycle is complete. The charger switches automatically to a trickle maintenance mode after cut-off, making overnight charging safe.
