The Romio Aster R Replacement Pods are the refillable pods for the Romio Aster R pod kit. Each pack contains three pods. Both coil options are in stock at £13.13 per 3-pack: 0.6 Ohm and 0.8 Ohm. The pods use a top-fill design and hold 2ml of e-liquid.
At £13.13 for a 3-pack, the Aster R pods are among the most competitively priced replacement pods in the range, at approximately £4.38 per pod. The top-fill design keeps the refilling process simple, and the choice between 0.6 and 0.8 Ohm allows you to select the draw style that suits your vaping preference. Both variants use integrated coil-pod construction, meaning the coil element is built into the pod body and the whole unit is replaced when the coil ages. Pair them with a 50/50 nic salt for the smoothest result.
The Aster R pod uses a top-fill port located at the upper surface of the pod. To refill, you open the silicone fill cap at the top of the pod while it remains seated in the device, press your e-liquid bottle nozzle into the port, fill slowly to avoid overflow, close the cap, and continue. The pod does not need to be removed from the device and does not need to be inverted.
Top-fill is the most direct refill method in everyday use. It requires no changes in device orientation and can be done in a few seconds with one hand holding the device and one pressing the e-liquid bottle. For vapers who refill during the day in varied settings, the simplicity of top-fill reduces the chance of spills that can occur when inverting a pod for bottom-fill access or when removing a pod and reseating it with a full reservoir.
The 2ml capacity means that, at moderate vaping intensity with an 0.8 Ohm MTL coil, the pod lasts a reasonable portion of the day before needing a top-up. At 0.6 Ohm and slightly higher wattage, e-liquid consumption is faster, so the top-fill convenience becomes more valuable as refills are needed more frequently.
The 0.6 Ohm pod produces a more open draw than the 0.8 Ohm option. At 0.6 Ohm, the device fires at moderate wattage and delivers a draw that sits between a tight MTL pull and a fully open DTL style. This is sometimes called restricted DTL: there is some airflow resistance, but the draw is more open than a traditional mouth-to-lung pull. Use 10 to 16 mg nicotine salt with the 0.6 Ohm pod for effective delivery at the moderate vapour volume this resistance produces.
The 0.8 Ohm pod produces a tighter draw. The higher resistance means lower wattage, less vapour per pull, and more airflow restriction. This is conventional MTL territory, where you draw vapour into your mouth before inhaling. The feel is closer to a cigarette draw than the 0.6 Ohm option, making the 0.8 Ohm the better starting point for smokers transitioning to vaping. Use 18 to 20 mg nicotine salt with the 0.8 Ohm pod.
Both variants are priced identically at £13.13 per 3-pack, so the choice is purely based on draw preference. If you are unsure, start with the 0.8 Ohm pod. The tighter, more familiar draw and the higher nicotine compatibility make it the lower-risk entry point for anyone coming from cigarettes. The 0.6 Ohm option is better suited to vapers who have already settled into vaping and want a slightly more open draw from the Aster R.
Because the coil is built into the pod, there is no separate coil to install. The one habit worth keeping is priming a fresh pod before the first vape. Skip it and the cotton scorches on the opening draw, which is the most common reason a brand-new pod tastes burnt.
Burnt taste on a fresh pod
It was vaped before the cotton soaked. Drip onto the wicking ports, refill, and rest it five minutes before the first draw.
Burnt taste after a week or two
The coil has reached the end of its life, sooner on sweet juice. Fit a fresh Aster R pod.
Gurgling or a flooded draw
Do not overfill, and keep e-liquid out of the central airflow tube when topping up.
Leaking around the pod
Make sure the top-fill cap is fully closed and the pod is seated squarely in the device.
