What are the Aspire Loomix Replacement Pods?
Most pod systems give you one coil and tell you to like it. The Aspire Loomix hands you four. These are the refillable replacement pods for the Aspire Loomix, each with the coil built into the body, so when it tires you swap the whole pod rather than fiddling a separate coil into place. They come two to a pack.
The headline is the choice. Four resistances (0.4, 0.6, 0.8 and 1.0 ohm), each in a 2ml or an XL capacity, which works out to eight variants, and all eight are in stock at £19.27 a pack. That is the broadest coil selection in the whole Aspire replacement pods range, and the spread from 0.4 to 1.0 ohm genuinely changes the device's character, from a loose, airy restricted draw down to a tight cigarette-style pull. Choosing between the 0.4, 0.6, 0.8 and 1.0 ohm Loomix pods
Start at the open end. The 0.4 ohm is the airiest pod in the range, a restricted direct-to-lung draw: looser than a cigarette pull, but nowhere near a wide-open sub-ohm tank. It suits anyone who finds tight MTL stifling but is not chasing big clouds either. It runs at a moderate wattage, throws the most vapour of the four, and likes 10 to 16mg salt.
The 0.6 ohm sits just inside that, still leaning DTL but with a touch more restriction. It is the versatile middle ground for someone who has outgrown the tightest MTL but has not gone fully open. Pair it with 10 to 18mg salt and it will happily be your daily.
The 0.8 ohm is proper mouth-to-lung. Tighter than the 0.6, less vapour per pull, lower wattage, and a draw that feels much like a cigarette to anyone making the switch. 18 to 20mg salt matches it well, keeping the nicotine hit firm despite the smaller vapour.
The 1.0 ohm is the tightest of the lot, a firm, restricted MTL pull and the closest thing here to smoking. It is the one to start a smoker on. It also sips the least power and the least liquid, so the battery and the pod both last longest. Run it with 18 to 20mg salt.
2ml or XL: which Loomix capacity?
Both sizes use the identical coil for a given resistance, so the only thing changing is how much liquid you carry. The 2ml is the UK TRPR maximum for a refillable pod sold with a standard kit. The XL holds more, which simply means fewer refill stops across a day.
Resistance tips the balance. At 0.8 and 1.0 ohm each draw sips less liquid, so even a 2ml pod goes a fair way per fill. At 0.4 and 0.6 ohm the wattage and vapour are higher and the juice vanishes faster, which is exactly where the XL earns its keep.
So: if you value pocket-slimness and do not mind a midday top-up, the 2ml is fine on any coil. If you would rather fill in the morning and forget about it, go XL, especially on the lower resistances. Both capacities exist for all four coils, all in stock.
How to fill an Aspire Loomix pod
Ten seconds once you have the hang of it. The only rule that matters is letting a fresh pod soak before you vape it.
- 1Pop the pod out and open the fill port.
- 2Drip your e-liquid down the inside wall, avoiding the central airflow tube, and fill to just below the top.
- 3Close the port and stand a fresh pod upright for three to five minutes so the coil wicks through.
- 4Click the pod back into the Loomix until it seats.
- 5Start with a couple of gentle priming puffs before you settle in.

Nearly every gripe is a pod that needs soaking or a fill done too keenly. Run through these before binning one.

It was vaped before it soaked. Fill it, wait five minutes, then prime with a couple of gentle pulls.

The coil is spent. Lower resistances wear faster on heavy use. Swap in the spare.
Leaking or gurgling
Do not overfill past the line, keep liquid off the central tube, and avoid storing it on its side.
Weak flavour or thin vapour
Check the pod is clicked fully home, and consider a lower resistance like the 0.4 or 0.6 ohm for more warmth and cloud.
