The OXVA Xlim SQ Pro 2 is the playful, square-bodied member of the Xlim family. It takes the same refillable XLIM pod that built OXVA's name, the one you fill with your own juice, and wraps it in a chunky little square with a 1.09 inch watch-face touchscreen on the front. That screen is the party piece: you tap and swipe to set the power and switch modes, watch an animated watch-face dial, and it even keeps a 30-day puff diary so you can see your habits at a glance. It is a pod kit that feels a tier above its price.

Underneath the fun it does the basics well. A 1600mAh battery is generous for the size, the magnetic pods click straight on and fill from the top side, and an airflow slider plus three modes let you set the vape from a tight mouth-to-lung draw to a looser restricted lung one. It is draw-activated, so you just inhale. It sits in our refillable pod kits as the most characterful Xlim, a different take to the slim Xlim Pro 3.
The screen is what sells the SQ Pro 2. It is a clear 1.09 inch HD colour touchscreen styled as a watch-face dial, and you control everything from it: tap to set the wattage, swipe through themes, and switch modes without hunting for a button. It shows the usual wattage, resistance and battery, plus a 5-digit puff counter and a 30-day puff diary that logs your daily use, which is a genuinely useful touch if you are trying to track or cut down.
There are three modes to choose from. Variable Wattage lets you set the power yourself up to 30W, Smart mode picks a sensible output for whichever pod you fit, and Eco mode dials it back to stretch the battery and the pod across a longer day. You switch between them on the screen, so it is quick to go from an efficient all-day setting to a punchier one when you fancy it.

The SQ Pro 2 uses OXVA's XLIM pods, which snap on with a magnet rather than pushing in, so swapping is a quick, clean click. Each pod is refillable with a built-in mesh coil and a top-side fill port: lift the stopper, drip your juice in and close it, no prising the pod out. They are 2ml pods with a leak-resistant design, and the kit comes with a 0.6ohm pod for a warmer draw and a 0.8ohm pod for a tighter mouth-to-lung style.
Because it takes the wider XLIM pod range, including the 0.4 and 1.2ohm options, you have plenty of choice and the pods are cheap and easy to restock. The integrated coil means you replace the pod when the flavour tires rather than rebuilding anything. Fill it with any nic salt for MTL, or a higher-VG juice on the lower-resistance pod for a looser, vapier draw.

A sliding airflow control on the side fine-tunes the draw without changing the pod. Close it down for a tight, cigarette-like mouth-to-lung pull, or open it up for a looser, airier restricted direct-lung draw. Paired with the right pod and wattage, that lets the SQ Pro 2 cover both MTL and a lighter RDL style on one device. It is draw-activated, so there is no button to press, you just inhale.
The 1600mAh battery is large for such a compact square, and it sees most people comfortably through a day, more in Eco mode. It charges over USB-C and fills in around 45 minutes, with the exact level on the screen so you are never guessing. Because it recharges and refills, the only things you ever replace are the pod and the juice, never a battery.

There is very little to it, and the touchscreen guides the rest. Fill the pod, let it soak, set the mode and power, and vape. The one habit worth keeping is giving a fresh pod a couple of minutes before the first hard pull so the coil wicks and you avoid a burnt taste.
The kit is £21.99, and after that you only buy pods and juice. XLIM pods are cheap and sold everywhere, and one pod lasts a good while before the coil tires, so the ongoing cost is low. Fill it from a 10ml nic salt for a couple of pounds and a pod-full costs pennies, far below prefilled pods or disposables, and Eco mode stretches each pod further again. Over a month of daily use the saving against a bar-a-day habit runs into tens of pounds, which pays for the kit many times over.
Against a disposable it is no contest: you buy the device once and then only pay for pods and juice, where a bar gets binned every couple of days. You also bin far less, just a small pod now and then. It is the same money-saving logic as any refillable pod kit, with a touchscreen and a puff diary thrown in.
The SQ Pro 2 is reliable, but a refillable with a touchscreen has a couple of quirks. Most snags trace to a pod that has not soaked, the mode or airflow, or the screen.
Burnt or dry hit
The coil has not wicked. After filling, leave a fresh pod two to three minutes and prime with gentle pulls, and do not run the wattage too high for the pod.
Gurgle or leaking
Do not overfill, close the stopper firmly and store it upright. The magnetic pod is leak-resistant; a flooded coil clears with a few gentle pulls.
Touchscreen not responding
Wipe the screen with a dry cloth and make sure the device is awake and charged. Cold or wet fingers can confuse the touch, same as a phone.
Weak flavour or thin vapour
Switch to Variable and nudge the wattage up, open the airflow, or fit a lower-resistance pod. Check the battery has charge on the screen.
Within the Xlim line the SQ Pro 2 is the fun, square one. It has the chunky watch-face touchscreen, the 30-day puff diary and the magnetic pods, where the Xlim Pro 3 is the slimmer flagship with a different screen and a bit more polish. Both are refillable and share the XLIM pod family, so pods carry over. If the square shape and the puff diary appeal, the SQ Pro 2 is the more characterful pick; if you want the slimmest, sharpest Xlim, the Pro 3 edges it.
Against a disposable it is in a different league on cost, control and waste: you buy it once and then only pay for pods and juice. It is more involved than a sealed pod, but only a little, and the touchscreen makes it easy. For anyone wanting a refillable with a bit of personality and a way to track their vaping, the SQ Pro 2 is one of the more enjoyable pods around, and it sits alongside our wider sub-ohm vapes for the looser style.
