The OXVA Xlim Pro 3 is the latest and slickest of the Xlim refillable pods, the line that built OXVA's name. Like the rest of the family it takes the XLIM pod, which you fill with your own juice and which carries an integrated coil, but the Pro 3 dresses it up with a proper 1.05 inch HD colour screen, the new Photon chip and a 1500mAh battery. It is a pod kit that feels a tier above its price, aimed at anyone who wants control and a bit of polish without carrying a full mod.

It covers a wide range of styles. Variable power from 5 to 30W and an airflow slider let you set anything from a tight, cigarette-like mouth-to-lung vape on a higher-resistance pod to a warmer, airier restricted direct-lung draw on the 0.6ohm pod. You fire it on a button or simply on the inhale, your choice. It sits in our refillable pod kits as one of the best all-round pods going, a step up from the Xlim Pro 2.
The headline is the screen. The Pro 3 carries a clear 1.05 inch HD colour display that shows the wattage, the pod resistance, the battery and a puff count at a glance, and it is the nicest screen on any Xlim. Driving it is the new Photon chip, which holds the output steady and fires fast, so the vape feels consistent from a full battery down to the last bit of charge.
You set the power yourself anywhere from 5 to 30W, which is what lets one device cover so many styles. Wind it down on a higher-resistance pod for a cool, tight mouth-to-lung vape, or push it up on the 0.6ohm pod for a warmer, vapier hit. A lock stops it changing in your pocket. It is the kind of control a simple pod does not give you, without the size of a box mod.

The Pro 3 uses the XLIM V3 pod, which is refillable and top-filling: lift the cap, drip your juice in and close it, no prising the pod out. Each pod has an integrated UniTech 2.0 mesh coil for clean, consistent flavour, and the kit comes with a 0.6ohm pod for a warmer restricted-lung draw and a 0.8ohm pod for a tighter mouth-to-lung style. You just fit the pod that suits the vape you want.
Because it takes the whole XLIM pod family, including the EZ pods, you have a lot of choice and the pods are cheap and easy to restock, which keeps the running cost low. The integrated coil means you replace the pod when the flavour tires rather than rebuilding anything. Fill it with any nic salt for MTL, or a higher-VG shortfill on the 0.6ohm pod for clouds.

On top of the wattage there is an airflow slider on the side, so you can fine-tune the draw without changing the pod. Slide it shut for a tight mouth-to-lung pull that feels closest to a cigarette, or open it up for a looser, airier restricted direct-lung draw. Paired with the right pod and wattage, that lets the Pro 3 cover both MTL and a lighter RDTL style on one device.
For most people a 50/50 nic salt is the sweet spot, smooth at higher strength and a good match for the 0.8ohm MTL pod. If you run the 0.6ohm pod open and warm for clouds, a higher-VG freebase suits it better. You can also fire it two ways: press the button as you draw, or set it to auto-draw and just inhale like a simpler pod. It is genuinely flexible.

There is very little to it, and the screen guides the rest. Fill the pod, let it soak, set the power and airflow, and vape. The one habit worth keeping is giving a fresh pod a couple of minutes before the first hard pull so the coil wicks and you avoid a burnt taste.
The kit is £18.99, and after that you only buy pods and juice. XLIM pods are cheap and sold everywhere, and one pod lasts a good while before the coil tires, so the ongoing cost is low. Fill it from a 10ml nic salt for a couple of pounds and a pod-full costs pennies, far below prefilled pods or disposables.
Against a disposable it is no contest: you buy the device once and then only pay for pods and juice, where a bar gets binned every couple of days. You also bin far less, just a small pod now and then rather than a whole device with a battery. It is the same money-saving logic as any refillable pod kit, with a nicer screen and more control than most.
The Pro 3 is reliable, but a refillable asks a little more than a prefilled bar. Most snags trace to a pod that has not soaked, the airflow or wattage, or a juice that does not suit the pod.
Burnt or dry hit
The coil has not wicked. After filling, leave a fresh pod two to three minutes and prime with gentle pulls, and do not run the wattage too high for the pod resistance.
Gurgle or leaking
Do not overfill past the line, close the cap firmly and store it upright. A few priming pulls clear a flooded coil.
Weak flavour or thin vapour
Open the airflow, nudge the wattage up on the screen, or fit the 0.6ohm pod for more cloud. Check the battery has charge.
Harsh throat hit
Close the airflow, lower the wattage, fit the 0.8ohm MTL pod, or drop to a lower nic strength. Match a salt to the MTL pod.
Within the Xlim line the Pro 3 is the flagship. It adds the bigger 1.05 inch HD colour screen, the new Photon chip and the 1500mAh battery over the Xlim Pro 2, which is still a fine pod but a step back on the screen and the chip. Both are refillable and share XLIM pods, so if you already own Pro 2 pods they carry over. For the slickest, most capable Xlim, the Pro 3 is the one.
Against a disposable it is in a different league on cost, control and waste: you buy it once and then only pay for pods and juice. It is more involved than a sealed pod, but only a little, and the screen makes it easy. For anyone stepping up from disposables or a basic pod into something with proper control, the Xlim Pro 3 is one of the easiest kits to recommend, and it slots in alongside our wider sub-ohm vapes for the looser RDTL style.
