Small part, big save. The Aspire PockeX top cap is the drip tip and top seal for the PockeX AIO, the bit you draw from and the bit that seals the tank above the glass. It is a wear-and-tear component, the kind that cracks after a drop or simply vanishes the way mouthpieces do, and at £1.99 it spares you replacing an otherwise perfectly good device.
If the only thing wrong with your PockeX is a split or missing cap, this is the part you want. While you are restocking, the U-Tech coils and the replacement glass are the other two PockeX consumables worth keeping a spare of.
Two jobs, really. First, it is the mouthpiece, the shaped tip your lips go round. The PockeX drip tip has a specific bore and shape that give the device its signature MTL draw, sitting between a tight cigarette pull and something a touch more open.
Second, it seals the top of the tank. The PockeX fills from a port in the body, and the top cap completes the seal that keeps liquid in and directs airflow up through the mouthpiece. A cracked or missing cap throws off both the seal and the draw.
Because it is the part your mouth touches most, it also takes the most wear. The plastic can craze over time, especially after a drop or a spell rattling around a pocket against keys and coins.
Most often it is a drop. The PockeX is a pen-style device people carry loose, and the cap is fairly exposed, so a hard landing on tile or concrete can split it where it meets the tank section.
The other reasons are wear and freshness. If the drip tip has staining you cannot clean off, or a small chip that makes the draw uncomfortable, a fresh one at £1.99 sorts it. Some people also swap the cap purely for a colour change, since Aspire makes it in a few finishes, which refreshes an older device for next to nothing.
Press-fit, so no tools and nothing to unscrew. Thirty seconds, tops.
A cap that misbehaves is almost always not fully seated or fitted to the wrong device. Quick checks below.
Cap wobbles or spins
It is not seated. Pull it off, line it up square, and press firmly until it clicks home.
Leaking from the top
Make sure the cap is fully down and the glass and coil beneath are seated. The cap only seals if everything under it is too.
Cap will not fit
Check your device is the PockeX AIO. The press-fit is specific to it and will not seat on the PockeX Pack or other devices.
Draw feels off
Confirm the drip-tip bore is clear and the cap is fully seated, so airflow runs straight up through the mouthpiece.
