The clue is in the name. TG stands for transparent, and that one design choice is the whole reason to bother with the Cyber G TG over a plain pod. Where most pods hide your e-liquid behind opaque plastic, this one is clear, so a single glance tells you whether you are running full, half, or about to dry-hit yourself awake. It is a small thing that you stop noticing precisely because it has quietly solved a daily annoyance.
Underneath the see-through shell it is a straightforward 3ml refillable pod for the Aspire Cyber G TG, with a mesh coil built straight in. That means replacing it is a clean whole-pod swap rather than wrestling a separate coil into place. You get a choice of two resistances, 0.8ohm and 1.0ohm, and a press-fit fitting that drops in without ceremony. At 2 for £19.99 these are the regular consumable for anyone already running the device. If you are restocking other kit while you are here, the full Aspire replacement pods range covers the rest of the line.
On paper a clear pod sounds like a gimmick. In daily use it is anything but. With a normal opaque pod the only ways to judge your liquid level are to yank it out and squint at a fill window from the right angle, or to wait for the vapour to thin out, which is the wick already telling you it has run dry. Dry hits taste like singed string, they are rough on the throat, and they cook the coil early.
The TG pod takes the guesswork out completely. A quick look and you know where you stand. The habit that grows out of that is topping up little and often rather than flogging the pod to the bitter end, and a wick that stays properly wet is a wick that lasts. Over a few weeks that is the difference between a coil that fades gracefully and one that turns harsh halfway through.
There is a quieter benefit too. Because you can see the liquid, you can see its colour, and darkening liquid is one of the earliest hints that a coil is on the way out. You also get a bit of incidental character from whatever you have filled it with, though nobody is buying a pod for the light show. The point is the information, free, at a glance, every time you pick it up.
The 0.8ohm is the warmer, livelier of the two. It runs at a touch more power, pushes a bit more vapour, and opens the draw out towards a loose MTL. It gets on well with 50/50 juices and with 10mg nic salts, and it suits anyone who wants something with a little more presence than the tightest cigarette-style draw without going full cloud machine.
The 1.0ohm pulls the other way. Tighter, cooler, less vapour, and a draw that sits closest to a cigarette. If you came off smoking and stick with the Cyber G TG because it feels familiar in the hand and on the inhale, this is the one that keeps that feeling. Pair it with 20mg salts and you get a quick, smooth nicotine hit without needing a face full of vapour.
Same 3ml, same clear body, same press-fit on both, so the only thing you are choosing is draw character. New to the device and genuinely unsure? Start on the 0.8ohm, it is the more forgiving all-rounder. Reach for the 1.0ohm if a true cigarette draw is the thing you care about most.
First fill aside, this is a ten-second job you will do without thinking. Let a fresh pod soak before you vape it, every time, or you will scorch the coil on the first pull.
Two pods to a pack is a sensible format for more than one reason. The obvious one is continuity. When your current pod starts to fade, the spare is right there, so there is no gap where you are nursing a dying coil because the replacement has not turned up yet.
The other use is keeping flavours apart. If you rotate between, say, a morning menthol and an evening dessert, give each its own pod. Swapping juices through a single pod works, but the old flavour clings to the wick for a fill or two and you end up with an accidental mash-up nobody ordered. Two pods, two flavours, no crossover.
Bin a pod once the taste turns muted or faintly burnt, or when the liquid in it has gone noticeably dark. The clear body makes that second check effortless, which is rather the point of the whole thing. For the matching device and the wider line, the Aspire range and the Aspire vape kits page are the place to look.
Almost every complaint about a pod comes down to wicking or a loose seal, not a faulty pod. Run through these before writing one off.
Burnt or harsh taste on a new pod
You vaped it before it soaked. Fill it, leave it five minutes, then start with a couple of gentle priming puffs.
Burnt taste on an older pod
The coil has had its day. Two weeks is a fair innings, less on sweet dessert juices. Swap in the spare.
A little leaking or gurgling
Check the fill bung is fully seated, do not overfill past the line, and avoid leaving it lying on its side for long stretches.
Weak flavour or thin vapour
Make sure the pod is clicked fully home, and try the 0.8ohm if you want a warmer, fuller draw than the 1.0ohm gives.
