The Vaporesso Luxe XR separates the pod body (the e-liquid reservoir with the fill port and mouthpiece connection) from the coil (the heating element). Both components are replaced at different intervals. Coils wear out faster because the mesh element degrades with heat and use. The pod body wears out more slowly, usually lasting several weeks to months before the seals or the body itself shows meaningful deterioration.

This modular approach reduces the ongoing cost of running the device. When your current coil burns out, you remove it from the pod body, press in a fresh coil, refill, and continue. The pod body cost only occurs when the physical structure of the pod is compromised. Over a typical vaping month, a modular system costs less per week than integrated coil-pods, where the entire pod is discarded every time the coil ages.

The pod body type you choose -- MTL or DTL -- does not fix your coil choice permanently. The MTL and DTL labels on these pod bodies refer to the airflow structure within the pod, not the coil type. The MTL pod body creates a tighter airflow path that suits mouth-to-lung draws. The DTL pod body has a more open airflow channel suited to direct-to-lung inhales. Within each pod type, you then select the coil resistance that best matches your preference and the device wattage you use.

The MTL pod body has a restricted airflow channel designed for mouth-to-lung vaping. Paired with the 0.8 Ohm coil (sold separately), it produces a tight draw that mimics a cigarette pull and suits 18 to 20 mg nicotine salt. Vapers switching from smoking typically find the MTL Luxe XR pod the most natural starting point, as the physical action of the draw is closest to the habit they are replacing.

The DTL pod body has a more open airflow path. Paired with the 0.4 Ohm coil (sold separately), it delivers a direct-to-lung inhale with more vapour production than the MTL configuration. Use 3 to 6 mg nicotine salt with the 0.4 Ohm coil, as the higher vapour volume makes stronger concentrations uncomfortable on continuous direct-to-lung draws.

Both MTL and DTL XL variants are in stock. The XL pod holds more e-liquid than the 2ml version, which reduces how frequently you need to refill when using the same coil throughout the day.
