The Vapcell K25 is built for current, not capacity. At 20A CDR, it delivers the highest continuous discharge headroom of any Vapcell 18650 in the VapeCity range. The trade-off is that 2500mAh puts it below the K30 and M35A for stored energy per charge. The K25 is the right cell for vapers who push wattages above 70W on a single battery, or who use older unregulated or mechanical tube mods where the current draw is not limited by a chipset.
The price reflects the positioning: at £3.99, the K25 is noticeably cheaper than the higher-capacity cells in the Vapcell range. For vapers who maintain a collection of devices, or who need multiple cells for high-drain unregulated setups, the lower per-cell cost makes the K25 a practical choice for keeping a stock of capable spares. The 20A CDR rating is relevant for two distinct groups of vapers. The first is regulated mod users who run their device at high wattages on a single 18650 cell. At 80W output with a 0.3 ohm coil, the current draw is approximately 16A. A 15A cell is over its sustained discharge rating; a 20A cell is not. For anyone consistently running above 70W on a single-battery regulated device, the K25 provides genuine safety margin that the K30 and M35A do not.
The second group is users of unregulated devices: tube mods, mechanical mods, and older squonk mods that have no chipset limiting the current draw. The K25 at 2500mAh holds approximately 500mAh less than the K30 and 1000mAh less than the M35A. In practical terms, if you vape at the wattage levels where a 20A CDR matters (above 70W), the higher wattage means you are also drawing down your battery faster regardless of which cell you use. The K25 user at 80W will see a shorter session time than a K30 user at 40W, but that is primarily a function of the higher wattage consuming energy faster, not just the lower mAh figure.
For vapers who genuinely need 20A CDR, the 2500mAh figure is the accepted cost of that capability. The cell still provides adequate runtime for a moderate vaping session; it just will not match the all-day capacity of the M35A in the same device at a lower wattage.

The K25's 20A CDR means you should not build below approximately 0.21 ohms on a fresh cell (4.2V divided by 20A = 0.21 ohms). At 0.15 ohms, the theoretical current at 4.2V is 28A, which exceeds the K25's rating.
In practice, most experienced users of mechanical or unregulated devices use a multimeter or dedicated resistance meter to verify their coil resistance before firing, and they calculate the current draw before choosing a cell. If your build requires more than 20A, the K25 is not the appropriate cell. Look at hybrid cells with higher pulse ratings or consider a parallel dual-cell build to distribute the current load.
Regardless of device type, always carry and store 18650 cells in a protective plastic case. A cell short-circuited by a coin or key in a pocket can reach dangerous temperatures in seconds. Inspect cell wraps regularly; replace the wrap if it is torn or damaged, or retire the cell entirely if the wrap damage exposes the body of the cell at the positive end.
