JUUL 2 Slate Device Kit

The device-only option exists primarily for vapers who are already in the JUUL 2 ecosystem. If you have pods at home or already know which JUUL 2 flavours you prefer, buying the device kit at £6.99 rather than the starter kit at £9.99 saves the cost of two pods you may not want.

A spare device is also useful for heavy JUUL 2 users who want one device kept charging while another is in use. JUUL 2 charges via a magnetic dock rather than a direct USB port on the device, which makes hot-swapping between two units straightforward if you have the dock available.

New users should generally start with the JUUL 2 Starter Kit instead, which includes both the device and the dock along with two pods to start vaping immediately.

The JUUL 2 battery is 350mAh, which is 25% more capacity than the original JUUL. In practical terms, it handles a full day of moderate use for most vapers without needing a mid-day charge. The four LED lights on the side of the device display current charge level when tapped twice — one light means it's time to charge, four lights means a full battery.

Charging requires the magnetic dock (included with the Starter Kit; available separately for users who need a replacement). The dock connects to the base of the device magnetically and uses a standard USB-A connection to a power source. A full charge from flat takes under an hour.

The Slate device uses the full range of JUUL 2 pods. Options include Virginia Tobacco, Crisp Menthol, Arctic Breeze, Autumn Tobacco, Polar Menthol, Summer Menthol, Ruby Menthol, Tropical Medley and a range of fruit flavours. All are sold as JUUL 2 Prefilled Pods in 2-packs.

Original JUUL pods are not compatible with the JUUL 2 device. The two systems use different pod geometries and contact points.
